Anti-Go Daddy Guide
Top reasons you should not use the great foe Godaddy.com for websites
1) The web hosting company Go Daddy does NOT use any server of it's own to store websites in physical memory. It is just a subsidiary of the Go Daddy Group, Inc. All websites' contents (physical makeup of the websites itself, independent of the DOMAIN NAME REGISTRAR service) that use Go Daddy as their web hosting company are stored on a large server of ANOTHER COMPANY, called Special Domain Services, which is also a subsidiary of the Go Daddy Group Inc. Also, all of Go Daddy's clients with a website uses a conglomerate subsidiary as it's REGISTRAR SERVICE (name or identity of the website itself which points to a sites' web content which has nothing to do with the site's content or physical makeup). The domain name registrar company that Go Daddy uses, Wild West Domains, is it's subsidiary of all of Go Daddy clients. However, all of the domains through GoDaddy Group and many other companies use ANOTHER SUBSIDIARY of Go Daddy Group, called Domains by Proxy, which is a separate company from Wild West Domains, but yet all owned by Go Daddy, Inc. It is not user friendly and the great foe internet business company for small customers with the most advertisements of any web hosting and internet company seen through fraudulent advertisements these days on TV to attract new customers.
2) Go Daddy web hosting corporation is just a retail conglomerate of one of many that uses the company Special Domain Services, the web hosting subsidiary, to store all of the websites of the property of it's own customers just for a cheap price to maximize their profit.
3) There are many other web hosting providers, that both in the domain name services and web hosting business, that just use Go Daddy's complete service - Go Daddy's subsidiary for the domain registrar, Domains by Proxy, and in the web hosting services, uses Special Domain Services, BUT ALL located in the same town or place that the Go Daddy headquarters is also located in, Scottsdale, Arizona (suburb of Phoenix), which leads to the 4th argument. Thus Go Daddy pretty much outsources it's web hosting services using subsidiary retailers, and just resells and retails the domain names through Wild West Domains. You can do a Whois background check to verify this argument.
4) Why would the largest, most popular web hosting company, both in domain name and web hosting business, be located in some suburban town of Phoenix, Arizona. That is very strange, considering the largest businesses would chose a place like New York, Los Angeles, or some fiscal metropolis. Phoenix is not known to be among the most popular fiscal cities in America, let along the whole world. The owner, Bob Parson, is not native to Arizona, but a native of Baltimore, Maryland.
5) Go Daddy is mostly popular for it's domain name services, which the company entirely started out as being. Many other companies secretly use SUBSIDIARIES of Go Daddy in the domain name business, and although completely different companies, function completely AS a subsidiary altogether of Go Daddy. You must do a background check on important information, like registrar, servers, and ownership to see if your web hosting company you plan on signing with is in anyway affiliated with Go Daddy!
6) As the world's largest web hosting and internet company, Go Daddy has less than 5,000 employees. Of these employees, less than 500 are the developers that control all the websites and domain names connecting to the internet. Most major corporations that are on Forbes 500 top list have at least well over 10,000 employees. Go Daddy's technical representative phone support is also of low quality and of cheap working environment. They are compressed into cubicles and there is much interference form other reps when you speak to a representative of Go Daddy, but yet they have a large facility for their company to make room to hold all of the websites and domain names for their business online, proving that Bob Parsons is doing as little to invest and as much to maximize his profit, even after selling the company's control to three other parent companies.
An illustration below of the structure of Go Daddy's functional as a corporation:
Other web hosting companies that are retailers of Go Daddy just relay their services to Go Daddy's servers, or web hosting service. Many retailers are subsidiaries of other retailers of Go Daddy, only to have their customer's websites stored in memory on Go Daddy's big server, Special Domains Services.
Many more domain registrar companies use Go Daddy's subsidiary Wild West Domains, or even the parent subsidiary company, Domains by Proxy, where ALL of the internet domain names of Go Daddy's conglomerate hierarchy are placed and regulated to ICANN.
Advice from a former Go Daddy customer
SUGGESTIONS:
Check to make sure that your web hosting or domain registrar company is not from Scottsdale, Arizona. This is where all of their subsidiary's servers and domain names operate. Generally a physical location is not important to understanding the world wide web, but in this case it is because retailers hide their information by operating through subsidiaries of retailers, and there is no assurance of garanteeing where a retailer ends up putting up your web site without knowing specific information about servers. There are other big web hosting conglomerates, but Go Daddy is the largest and worst of all of the internet world and their servers are centered in this suburban town of Phoenix, Az.
Avoid retailers of Go Daddy. The retailers are actually worse than Go Daddy itself, as far as services and troubleshooting. They just relay all of the services through parent companies, and eventually all of the clients' web sites and domain name services are placed in Go Daddy's control on their servers. Some retailers use Go Daddy just through the domain names, and some others totally use Go Daddy's services for both web hosting and domain names, but they are all dependent on Go Daddy's services if they are registered with any of Go Daddy's registrars.
Go Daddy PRIORITIZES popularity of web sites and domain names over the less popular clients. Many of their customers never resolve an issue. THIS HAPPENED TO ME USING A RETAILER AND THEN EVEN AFTER SWITCHING TO GODADDY INC. If you purchase a service for your website and have a problem not receiving a service that you paid for then you are put in a large queue list of popularity to resolve the issue. If you continue using that service without cancelling or moving away from Go Daddy, then you will continue to be charged for however long the service is added to your account.
If you are a client of Go Daddy or use one of their registrar services in any way, and would like to transfer your domain name, be prepared to be aggressive with them and demand that they move your domain name immediately, because they use a BOGUS SO-CALLED EXTRA SECURITY feature through their Domains by Proxy subsidiary in transfering your domain name to your new registrar, all in the intentions of KEEPING YOUR DOMAIN NAME with them for AS LONG AS POSSIBLE TO KEEP CHARGING you for however long it take you to successfully leave Go Daddy. It is a sophisticated process they use to keep charging many customers that want to leave Go Daddy, but it is fraudulent profit for their business.
OTHER CORRUPTION RELATED TO GO DADDY INC.
Go Daddy sleazy porn sites and ads of girl models lure new customers
The most popular adult porn dating site, Adult Friend Finder, is a Go Daddy registered domain name, but this popular site uses it's own separate server. Adult Friend Finder, via Go Daddy to connect online, has over 40 million visitors each month and over 1 million members, with a monthly fee of $17 per member, giving this porn dating company a monthly revenue of over $17 million each month.
The most popular adult site listing of porn sites, which includes Adult Friend Finder, top10adultdating.com, is a registered site through Wild West Domains, subsidiary of the Go Daddy Group
What we just about all know is that what is most popular is usually not quality. The most professional sites or businesses do not use Go Daddy, such as the major media outlets, large corporations, respectful organizations, search engines, etc. Most of these actually tend to use Network Solutions, and the others use other quality web hosting companies throughout the world. However, this does not necessarily mean that many of the most popular sites online do not use Go Daddy. Many of these are porn, chat, small businesses and less well known social network sites.
The Go Daddy girl ads that appear on Superbowl and other sports events do not mostly cater to owners of websites or domain names online. Most of these ads cater to the non-professional sexual interest of the popular culture, yet these ads tend to lure the little person, such as a personal or small business site owner, whom just wants to sign up and have his or her web site online and chooses Go Daddy because of the exposure of the commercials on TV, with their humor and sensation of the ads making their company well known, unlike Network Solutions, Enom, or other well quality internet companies that are not running ads all over television.
Go Daddy claims that the giant crash on September 10, 2012 of websites using their domain name registrar was just an incidental error of corrupted router tables. It was originally mistaken to be a hacker, but this issue sounds too suspicious that workers that program Go Daddy's servers are not involved in foulplay for several reasons.
ALL of Go Daddy's clients using its web hosting service is physically located in its big subsidiary, Special Domain Services, and uses a programmed server that is owned by them but programmed and controlled by programmers outside of the United States. Thus Go Daddy OUTSOURCES THEIR PROGRAMMED SERVER.
Every retailer that uses Go Daddy in any way, whether direct client website owners of Go Daddy, or through OTHER registrars (retailers, subcontracted, etc.) that use it's domain name subsidiary, Wild West Domains, is placed under the SAME CONTROL as GO DADDY CUSTOMERS for connecting websites to the World Wide Web.
The primary sponsor of Go Daddy, Indy 500 racecar driver Danica Patrick, was demoted from Go Daddy ads in October of 2012 for no apparent reason. The supermodel Go Daddy girl, had been pulled from TV advertisements, but still remains a sponsor of Go Daddy internet company. There are possible OTHER reasons why this is true and not disclosed, just like the scam Go Daddy operates in making excuses in not solving problematic issues of their internet business for clients.
Danica crashed out of a race the SAME EXACT DAY the CEO of Go Daddy resigned
Danica is not performing as well in racing afterwards
Despite her popularity in other professions, like in modeling, she has a net worth much less than the owner of Go Daddy, Bob Parsons. Danica has a value of 18 million in wealth, while Bob Parsons has a net worth income of around 1.5 BILLION - nearly 1,000 times more than she has as the primary sponsor.
Go Daddy needs to use another con artist celebrity who is wealthier, all in attempt to prey on THIRD party people - a celebrity spokesperson scamming people on commercial ads, to gain more customers for Go Daddy, or as they call it REDEFINE sexiness.
Reason WHY Go Daddy girl is still primary superbowl and sexy ad sponsor, but yet no longer the primary sponsor
Bob Parson had to negotiate a deal with Go Daddy's advertisement firm contractor, Deutsch, a german company. They demanded that Go Daddy pull their racy and sexual ads of the Go Daddy girls from TV to have a more conservative, catering to a more professional audience, but Danica Patrick was bringing in much of Go daddy's revenue though TV ads, so now Mr. Parson is stuck with a dilemma for adverstising the sleazy Go Daddy girl commercial catering to non-intellectual viewers whom have no interest in the internet website hosting business.
Bob Parson keeps close contact with Danica Patrick and sponsors her for Superbowl ads bringing in revenue but yet trying to satisfy it's advertisement company, just to maximize Go Daddy's profit. Now he drops her as the official sponsor to satisfy Deutsch Inc.
Go Daddy's growth has been on an exponential rise for over 10 years now. It is expected to be close to or above 1 billion dollars by the end of 2012. You can get detailed information on the past 8 years and it's growth in almost the past decade at inc.com which lists the top ranked growing corporations. Many other less popular sources disclose this information, also. Just around 8 years ago, Go Daddy was making less than 50 million, and now the company is making close to more than 1 billion each year in revenue. The revenue between 2003 and 2004 almost tripled, and every year since then has increased roughly 20% to 25% from each previous year. If this trend still holds at least 20%, then Go Daddy will have a network earning of at at least 1.073 billion dollars in 2012. This is a threat that Go Daddy's growth rate in wealth and power makes it likely to become a monopoly in the internet marketing business.
